Bio-Diversity Impacts on Site

Local biodiversity is the variety of life forms, and the ecosystems of which they form a part, that exist on your property.

Replacing damaged or cleared vegetation after construction is not a substitute for preservation. Some native vegetation will be lost and new ones will be introduced, disrupting the natural ecology of the area.

Damage to the environment can be minimized by several methods.
Build on a site that has been cleared already.
If you must clear an area outside the footprint, use this one area for all purposes, such as parking, dumps etc.

Save vegetation and topsoil when clearing the area and reuse when restoring the site, instead of bringing in new.

Save large trees and plant only native species in gardens.
